Oil Spill Mermaid

This artwork was created for my most recent brief for uni regarding sustainability. This piece shows how we have littered the oceans and in turn are slowly killing the sea creatures, but also adapting to living in these terrible conditions. This mermaid's ''ocean'' now is an oil spill, and her hair has turned into oil. No life in her eyes, and has adopted a grey-ish blue colour for her skin.
